Abstract
Service-Learning (SL) assumes and advocates a reciprocal partnership between institution and community, and empowers both parties in a synergic manner. This workshop aims at demonstrating sustainable partnership and its longer and deeper impact to both students and the community beyond the formal curriculum.
Mr Cheung Chun Hoi from Hong Kong Baptist University will share his 3-year experience in teaching and organising SL projects in Chinese Medicine. Senior executive from the partnering NGO will talk about her views in creating meaningful service opportunities for students.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to appreciate the importance and significance of sustainable partnership in SL, and learn about the challenges and practical tips of integrating sustainable partnership into SL curriculum.
