Abstract
In Service-Learning, reflection is a critical process to transform service experience into learning. This workshop aims to introduce structured student reflection as a key component in academic Service-Learning subjects. In the workshop, Ms Lam will introduce the fundamentals of reflection theory and share her experience in using reflection to achieve student learning. In addition, hands-on activities and discussion will guide the participants through the process of planning, implementing and assessing reflective activities. By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to appreciate the essence of reflection, understand the basic know-how and challenges of integrating reflection into the curriculum. Staff members who have recently started or are about to start teaching Service-Learning subjects are strongly encouraged to attend.
