Abstract

Everyone was once a “small potato”. You might experience failure. We might get lost but one day you can be the “Big Boss" and make some changes to the society. HKBU alumnus Dan Cheung established the Museum of Failure and encouraged people to embrace their failure. Inspired by his service-learning experience in schooldays, Clive Lee gave up his engineering profession and devoted himself to philanthropy. In this human library, the two guests will share their stories and how they used social innovation as a powerful tool to empower youth.

Mr Clive Ka-lun Lee is the CEO of Phoenix Foundation, former CEO of Yidan Prize Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative Scholar. He has 20 years of experience in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, social enterprise, non-governmental organisations and foundations. He has traveled around the world as a speaker to train more than ten thousands of audiences and instructed over 1000 mentees from 60 countries.

Mr Dan Cheung is the CEO of Hong Kong NGO Development Centre. He was also the Co-Founder & Executive Director of APAC Youth Development Foundation, and was an Obama Fellow. He is currently working on social ventures dedicated to empowering young leaders to reach their full potential for a better future.
