SL is widely recognised as a high-impact pedagogical practice because of its rich student outcomes. For service-learning faculty, however, teaching a SL course can be both meaningful and challenging. For semester 2's mini-SL workshop, CISL's new Senior Service-Learning Lead, Dr Rina Camus, will discuss How Service-Learning Impacts Faculty. We will explore the positive and negative impacts which service-learning can have on faculty, as well as challenges and tips to overcome common difficulties.
