Description

Beetales, a local beekeeping organisation based in Sun Hing Farm, aims to promote honey bees and ecological conservation through urban beekeeping. As part of the tour, you will learn about bee ecology and make your own honey lip balm. The beekeepers will also elaborate on the concept of urban beekeeping, and give you a renewed understanding of the relationship between humans and bees.

1) Introduction of the farming system and crops on Sun Hing Farm.

2) Introduction of beekeeping + getting up close and personal with bees (if the situation allows) 

講解養蜂工作 + 參加者有機會親身接觸蜜蜂

3) Honey lip balm workshop

A round-trip shuttle service between HKBU and Sun Hing Farm will be provided. The bus will depart at 1:30pm sharp at Jockey Club Academic Community Centre on Baptist University Road Campus. Please indicate if you need the service upon registration.
