Attending the dinner included Ms. Chloe Suen and Mr. Ivan Wong, Co-Chairmen of the YEC; Mr. Eric Chow, Mr. Gabi Lam, Mr. Clarence Ling, Mr. Felix Lio, Mr. Kevin Ng, Mr. Kevin Orr, Ms. Jacqueline Tong, Mr. Calvin Tse and Ms. Jennifer Yeung, Members of the YEC. A number of HKBU representatives also joined the dinner. They were Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Gordon Tang, Director of Student Affairs; and Dr. Lisa Lam, Director of the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning.
In his welcoming remarks, Co-Chairman Mr. Ivan Wong thanked members for their unfailing support in the past years. He expressed his wish that members could continue to contribute to HKBU’s overseas virtual internship project and the 60-second Talent Pitch competition by seeking more internship opportunities for students. He hoped to further boost the engagement of members in the new term.
Co-Chairman Ms. Chloe Suen expressed her gratitude to the Foundation’s Secretariat, University Advancement Office, for organising the dinner. She also thanked members for their proactive participation. She looked forward to having more exchanges with members and working closely to explore different ways of collaboration with the University to enrich students’ learning experience.
At the dinner, Dr. Lisa Lam introduced to participants the credit-bearing service-learning courses available in the academic year 2021/22. She also invited YEC members to help enrich students’ experiential learning.
The dinner was full of constructive dialogues amongst participants in a warm atmosphere.
